About Us
Mark and Lorrie Bradway embarked on the adventure of opening a cat café in 2022. Experiencing the joy that comes from their own 6 house cats and 3 barn cats, they wanted to create a place where they could bring their love of cats to the public; letting them find that same love that drove Mark and Lorrie to open The Chat. The main goal: to find loving homes for these precious, adoptable cats living in the cat lounge of the cat café.
The Bradway’s sought out a property perfect for their cat café and they landed in downtown Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; securing the spot where The Chat is a permanent fixture, in December 2023. After many months of bringing their dream to life, The Chat-A Cat Café opened October 24, 2025.
Mark and Lorrie’s oldest daughter, Charissa, has used her artistic skills to bring the cat café to life. When you look around, you’ll see all of Charissa’s art work. From designing the cat café logo, to painting clouds on the ceiling, and even the feeling you get like you’ve escaped to a whimsical park when you enter the cat lounge. Her touch is everywhere.
Mark and Lorrie’s youngest daughter, Chloe, brings her top-tier veterinary experience to The Chat-A Cat Café. Chloe has been an integral part in the cat’s wellness care from prescribing treatment for the cats that need it, as well as doing their check-ups to ensure all cats are ready for their furever home. Since cats are her favorite patients, it’s no secret that these kitties are getting the best care imaginable.

What is a cat cafe?
Our cat cafe offers a Cat Lounge that houses cats that have been taken from the Broken Arrow Animal Shelter and other rescues. The cats have access to a huge cat tree, made from a real tree trunk and limbs, a ladder to climb to the second floor, a cat spiral staircase, a treadmill, wall furniture and several cat beds and other toys. People can enjoy watching the cats play with each other, as well as interacting with the cats with the toys provided. We hope people have an enjoyable time playing with the cats. Our main goal is finding loving homes for our wonderful cats.
Our cafe portion offers packaged food and drinks. We also have cat-themed books to read, games to play and a small gift shop. People can also bring their birthday cakes into the cafe portion for birthday celebrations.
Do I need a reservation?
We are on a walk-in basis. When the Cat Lounge has reached “cat-pacity”, we will have a wait list.
If someone is coming from out of town, or has a party of 5 or more, we will take reservations.
I’m an out of town visitor, what’s the best way to get there?
If you’re staying in a hotel located in Broken Arrow, we suggest Ubering. Thanks to Visit Broken Arrow, you can Uber down to the Rose District to visit us for free!

Is there an entrance fee?
Entry to the Cafe portion is free. The Cat Lounge does have an entrance fee. The charges are as follows:
Prices are per hour.
Adult: $14
Silvers (60yrs+), Military, Student: $12
Littles (3-5yrs): $10
Itty Bittys (2yrs and under): Free
30 Minute Visit: $10 per person.
(Cafe is free to hang out, play games or read books.)
Are there guidelines when interacting with the cats?
All of our cats have claws, so be aware of this when playing with the cats. (We have a first aid kit and bandaids available). We don’t recommend picking up the cats. Some cats don’t mind, but some don’t like being held. However, if the cat jumps in your lap or wants to be close to you, feel free to gently cuddle!
Can I host a party?
Yes! We have 2 long tables that can accommodate 16 people. We charge per person (check out the entrance fee above) with the minimum party being 5 guests.
What does the admission price go towards?
All of our proceeds from the Cat Lounge go towards providing:
– Nutritious cat food
– Cat litter
– Regular veterinary care, including vaccines, worming and flea prevention.
– Spay/Neuter
– Testing for FIV/FeLV
